A hard, clear layer bonded to your paint. It makes the surface slicker than the day the car left the factory, so dirt struggles to hold on, water runs off instead of sitting there, and the finish keeps its depth through Florida summers that flatten an ordinary one. Done properly it is the best money you can spend on a car you intend to keep.
What it changes
Bonded, not sitting on top
Wax sits on the paint and washes away in a month or two. A coating bonds to it and stays. That one difference is what everything below comes from.

Rain does half the washing
Water pulls into beads and runs off, carrying loose dirt with it. Less standing water means fewer spots baked on by an afternoon in the sun.

Upkeep
Washing gets quick
Contamination has far less to grip. A maintenance wash takes a fraction of the time and a fraction of the contact, and contact is what puts swirls in paint.

The colour holds
UV is what dulls a finish and chalks the trim. The coating takes that hit instead of the clear coat, and a car that still looks deep at four years is worth more when you sell it.

Time to get to it
Bird droppings, sap and bugs are acidic and they etch clear coat fast. On a coated surface you have time to take action before anything is permanent.

Ranges assume the finish is looked after. Anything run through a brush tunnel every fortnight is a different conversation.
The job
Most of it is preparation
The coating itself takes about an hour. Everything before it is what decides how the car looks for the next few years, and it is where the difference between a good coating and a bad one lives.

Decontaminate
Wash, iron fallout remover, then clay. Anything bonded to the paint has to come off first, because whatever is left gets sealed underneath.

Measure and correct
A paint depth reading, then machine polishing to take out swirls and marring. This is the step that makes the gloss; the coating locks it in.

Panel wipe
Every panel stripped of polishing oils, so the coating bonds to paint rather than to residue. Skipping it is why coatings fail early.

Coat and cure
Applied panel by panel and levelled by hand under an inspection light. We tell you exactly how long to keep it dry before the car gets wet.

So you know what you're buying
Coatings get oversold, and the customer who was promised the wrong thing is the one who ends up disappointed. Three things worth being clear about.
Does it protect against scratches?
Against wash marring, yes, and that is most of what dulls a car over time. Against a rock chip or a shopping trolley, no. Nothing in a bottle does; that is what paint protection film is for, and we will tell you when film is the better answer.
Do I still need to wash it?
Yes, and that is the point: washing becomes quick and safe rather than a job you put off. A coated car washed properly every few weeks stays ahead of everything. That is also why coated cars get our maintenance rate.
Will it hide the marks already in my paint?
No, it seals them in, which is exactly why the correction comes first and why we take a paint depth reading before touching anything. The polishing is what makes the car look new. The coating is what keeps it that way.
